Install LedgerPro on Windows
Installing LedgerPro is simple. Our automated installer downloads and configures everything required to run LedgerPro on your computer.
Before You Install
Please ensure the following:
- ✔ Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
- ✔ Administrator permission on your computer
- ✔ Stable Internet connection
- ✔ At least 5 GB of free disk space
Note: The installer automatically downloads all required software from the Internet.
What the Installer Does
1. Select Installation Drive
Choose the drive where LedgerPro will be installed (C:, D:, E:, etc.). The installer creates the installation folder automatically.
2. Install Python (If Required)
If Python is not already installed, the installer will:
- Download the supported version
- Install Python automatically
- Configure the system PATH
If Python is already installed, this step is skipped.
3. Install Git (If Required)
The installer checks for Git and, if necessary:
- Downloads Git
- Installs it automatically
4. Install PostgreSQL Database
If PostgreSQL is not installed, the installer automatically:
- Downloads PostgreSQL
- Installs the database server
- Creates the required database
- Configures the database user and permissions
No manual database setup is required.
5. Download the Latest LedgerPro
The installer downloads the latest LedgerPro version directly from our official repository, ensuring you always install the newest release.
6. Configure the Database
The installer automatically creates the required database configuration file.
No manual editing is necessary.
7. Create the Python Environment
The installer automatically:
- Creates a virtual environment
- Installs all required Python packages
- Runs database migrations
Everything is completed without user intervention.
8. Install LedgerPro Desktop
Finally, the installer:
- Downloads the latest LedgerPro Desktop application (if required)
- Installs it
- Launches LedgerPro automatically

The first installation may take longer because required software is downloaded automatically.
During Installation
